Online Sales
Shop.org, the online unit of the National Retailer Federation, reported in December that 91 percent of merchants have seen online growth during the holiday season, with 17 percent experiencing sales more than twice as high as a year ago. According to market research firm ComScore Networks, Internet-based holiday sales rose more than 28 percent in 2004 and were expected to cross $15.5 billion.

Lingerie Sales
Sales of lingerie and hosiery  are predicted to grow as the female population is forecast to age and increase in numbers. Analysts predict lingerie sales to quadruple by 2006, with bras comprising 33% of the market. This is the result of an increase in the number of women willing to spend money on personal items for themselves, and prices dropping due to less expensive exports of our Asia.
